Firstly, communication between the MYA charter company and the captain was excellent - regular contact was.made in the 24 hours lead up to the booking and all forms and documentation were sent out efficiently and checked thoroughly. Our captain, Overlan Ortega was fantastic. He messaged.us a few hours before the booking with a meeting place and asked us to call him when we arrived. 5 minutes later the he arrived with the boat. The boat itself was lovely spotlessly clean, in great condition and very spacious for a party of six with leather seats at the front and covered leather seats at the rear. Our journey took us up the river past the CBD and out to see the Miami skyline, then onto some specular celebrity houses! Overland provided us with some interesting facts and anecdotes on route. We could Bluetooth music to the boat's sound system so we could blast out Welcome to Miami! Champagne and flutes were provided and we took our own snacks.and drinks on board. We got some wonderful pictures and as we booked to 6-8pm tour the sun was setting and lights came up as we headed back down the river. Absolutely wonderful.experience. We can't thank Overlan enough and we will definitly be booking this again when we return Miami. Would highly recommend.
Thank you, Donnamawson, for taking the time to share such a detailed and positive review. He was even quick to help us get our 84yr old mother in the water, so she could experience the sandbar with us. Communication from the company was excellent, and everything from marina parking to meeting instructions to payment transparency were in well thought out instructions prior to meeting. The company and captain asked our opinion and gave us options about multiple aspects of our day trip. Overall, it was a HUGE highlight ion our trip to S FL! As a native Floridian, I have had the pleasure of being out on the water w/ numerous charter services, and this was one of the most professional yet. There are many, but this one stands out above the rest for their thoughtful customer service, professionalism, punctuality, and value. I went with three friends for the sunset & champagne cruise, and everything about the experience exceeded our expectations. The boat was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a restroom on board and a great sound system where we could play our own music. We loved that it was BYOB, and the cooler with ice and bottled water was a great touch. Cruising through the Miami River and out into Biscayne Bay gave us incredible views of the skyline, waterfront mansions, and the city as the sun set — absolutely stunning. Our captain, Elieser “Eli” Sanchez, was truly outstanding. He’s highly experienced, professional, and friendly, and it’s easy to see why he’s consistently praised by guests. Eli made sure everything ran smoothly, kept us comfortable and safe, and added to the overall fun and relaxed vibe of the trip. The pace was perfect — never rushed, just pure enjoyment. The floating water mat was a fun bonus, and overall the experience felt private, luxurious, and well organized. If you’re looking for an amazing way to experience Miami from the water with friends, I can’t recommend this charter (and Captain Eli) enough. We would absolutely book again! — Diego
What a great way to experience Miami, Diego. As we passed by landmark locations he shared his knowledge with us and conversed with us about how the Miami skylines have changed over the years. Also super accommodating and professional. Would highly recommend booking this experience with captain Fernando. The water mat fit 3 of us and was super fun. Ended the day with seeing some dolphins which again the captain noted. Communication was very easy and smooth. Meeting site easy to find. Highly recommend this company and a day on the water w/ them. Captain Eduardo couldn’t have been more helpful, accommodating, and supportive of our family and the itinerary we requested. Overall an amazing experience which we will surely hope to repeat some time soon.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. The booking response time from the owner was very quick and the boat was very clean and well-maintained. It's easy to see why this charter gets high marks.
Thank you, JPinJupiter, for sharing your fantastic experience! A must do in Miami!!
Absolutely amazing experience in Miami, a real ‘must do’ to appreciate the magnificent city and see the different islands, down town, city and south beach! We had the boat exclusively with our two children, aged 8 & 5 who thoroughly enjoyed the experience - especially as Omar (our driver) allowed them both to have a little go at steering and made the journey really fun! We felt totally secure onboard as Omar had given us clear instructions from the outset what to do in an emergency and made sure the children had life jackets on throughout (although we did briefly take them off for a couple of photos when the boat was still) The boat itself is really spacious and very comfortable as well as stylishly designed. There is a small toilet onboard too - which our children loved using as it was so novel! Omar was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable - showing us all the sites, explaining the history and telling us who lived where and the costs of the houses & plots!! Very fascinating! I’d highly recommend a sunset tour - it was great to see everywhere in daylight, the sunset and then the glow afterwards, finishing with everywhere lit up when it was dark! Really spectacular! ✨🌇
["We had the boat exclusively with our two children, aged 8 & 5 who thoroughly enjoyed the experience - especially as Omar (our driver) allowed them both to have a little go at steering and made the journey really fun!"]}…professional, friendly, and welcoming. What truly stood out was our captain. Instead of just taking us on a standard tour, he took the time to understand what kind of experience we were looking for. Based on that, he suggested turning it into a romantic sunset sandbar cruise—and it was absolutely perfect. The entire evening felt thoughtfully curated. From the peaceful boat ride to the stunning sunset views and champagne, every detail came together so beautifully. It felt intimate, relaxing, and incredibly special. What we appreciated the most was how respectful and considerate our captain was throughout. He struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us privacy, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment together. This wasn’t just a boat tour—it felt like a personalized, meaningful experience that we’ll always remember. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something unique and memorable in Miami.
Thank you, Divya, for sharing your remarkable experience.
Captain Fernando is a very kind person, he showed us a lot, and at the end he dropped us off by boat at another marina where we had a dinner reservation at a restaurant. The boat was clean and well-equipped (including an emergency toilet), and the sound system worked flawlessly!! The price for the service was very reasonable and acceptable. The boat trip lasted even a bit longer than indicated in the offer. The atmosphere during the cruise was very friendly, and the captain took photos of us according to our requests. The boat is for up to 10 people; there were 6 of us, so we had plenty of space to ourselves. The best cruise for a group of friends or as a romantic experience for a couple—an excellent idea for a perfect proposal. We sincerely recommend it!!!
Thank you, Dominik, for your detailed review! It's wonderful to hear you found the experience enjoyable and Captain Fernando accommodating. This was by far the best experience we've had. Captain Eduardo is very knowledgeable, and gave us the best time out in the water. I definitely recommend chartering the boat, you don't need anything bigger than that vessel. The whole process was super simple, straightforward, no issues of any kind. 10/10 experience!!!!!
